Steps to make to make Biriyani

  1. Heat oil in a pan.Add sliced onion.
  2. Fry them until golden.
  3. Add all dry spices.saute until they crackle
  4. Add ginger garlic paste.
  5. Saute till the raw smell goes off.
  6. Add all the vegetables and fry.
  7. Add turmeric powder,salt,red chilli powder and biryani masala powder.
  8. Fry it 3 minutes.pour yogurt.Mix well.
  9. Cook covered till the veggies are cooked.
  10. In a large pot bring water to boil.add oil,salt,Sahi jeera and bay leaf.
  11. Add washed,soaked rice.
  12. Cook the rice.Drain the excess water.soak saffron in 1/2 cup milk.
  13. Add rest of the curd,mint and coriander leaves.mix well.
  14. Layer half of the rice.Then sprinkle few fried onions,mint and coriander leaves.
  15. Then pour soaked saffron milk.Add fried cashew and raisins.
  16. Cover the pan with aluminium foil.Place the lid and Set the flame to low.Since the vegetables and rice 5 minutes.
  17. Veg biryani ready serve it with raita.
